Music Makes a Difference
Studies show that music education may:
Flip cards for music education.
While listening to music may provide some of these benefits, those who actually play an instrument engage all parts of the brain -- a full brain workout!
Music4CHIEF is not only hoping for emotional and educational improvement, we also want to see teenagers find a place to belong and be proud of themselves. We place students in music programs that provide:
quality music instruction
a caring network of peers to perform with and who are supportive as students grow in confidence and ability
trusting relationships with mentors who want to see them succeed in life
Music kept me off the streets and out of trouble and gave me something that was mine that no one could take away from me."
-Eddie Van Halen
The cost of music lessons and equipment can't compare to the benefit that making music can bring into a person's life. In order to help our young musicians realize their true potential we need community support.
